CARING FOR OUR WATERSHEDS: Chesapeake Bay is open to Middle School and High School classrooms who attend school in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.
Classrooms are asked to submit proposals that answer the question:
“What can you do to improve your watershed?”
- Classrooms will compete for $6,000
- Participating schools and clubs are eligible for $10,000
- Implementation funding is available for $10,000. All classes are encouraged to implement their ideas

2022 Finalists Announced
Thank you to all of the students who participated in this contest. Over 26 entries were received.
The $1,000 first place prize was awarded to Herdon Elementary School from Herndon, VA for their proposal called, “Purple Martin Bird Towers.”
